Can't even hazard a guess, although the style's fairly obvious so if anyone's seen it, it should have stuck in their minds so they can help out.

However, I'm concerned that it looks like a [particularly domestic] TV series which wouldn't get a western release/fan sub. It's appearance is specialized so that would discount a lot of potential viewers around here.

Too bad you do not have any text saved from the auction.

It's often easier finding info on a series with that text. Assuming the seller knows and mentions it in the description of the auction of course. Maybe they don't know either. :sweatdrop

Keropi: Thanks for mentioning it, your right as usual. The auction text would help -_-! So I dug through my pdf collection of past auctions and found it. Did a little searching based on the text but found nothing again, except that the auction is still up on YHJ at:

http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h36517746

The auction title translated roughly to:
Dryad 厨師 An autograph rough setup and set of a rough original picture
So I guess it's what ever "仙女厨師" is. Further searching I get hits for "Cooking Boy Master" though I don't think their the same from the style & content. Guess I'll keep digging some.

It's not this is it?:

Fighting Foodons (Bistro Recipe):

http://www.enokifilmsusa.com/library/bistro_recipe.htm

...since we're talking about chefs and cooking here. :D

I don't think so, but it was fun finding another food anime anyway. :)

Who is that in your avatar Metheus? ?^_^?

The copy sheet has the title on it in English. 仙女厨師 is said Sennyo chushi. They appear to be using a Chinese spelling in their Romanization to give it a Chinese flavor. Xiannu (with two little dots) is roughly pronounced Sennyo.

It means Kitchen Master Fairy. Or Kitchen Master Nymph. I didn't take a look at all of the sketches, but if any of the characters have wings, I'd go with the fairy translation.

Glancing at the above posts, I suppose another translation is Cooking Fairy (or Nymph) Master.

The rest of the text (茉莉花) is a name . . . the pronounciation I'm getting is Marika (characters mean jasmine, jasmine, flower). So, I suppose the full title is Marika: Cooking Fairy (or Nymph) Master, or Marika: Kitchen Master Fairy (or Nymph).

Hope that helped. :^^:

Thanks to everyone who took a look, its appreciated.

Klet: That helps a lot. Getting a rough translation may be the best in this scenario. I've copied it all down to my cel notes for future reference. The bit about "giving it a Chinese flavor" made a lot of sense, when searching I hit a lot of chinese sites(the browser kept wanting to install chinese character support for display, etc.).

Krafty: I fear your right, probably wont be fansubed anytime soon etc. Likewise, searching for fairies & nymphs in the context of anime seems fairly futile. BTW, on your new Nina cel what's the "Naughty Boy" reference from. Seems familiar yet I can't place it.

Keropi: Bistro Recipe, another anime I've never crossed paths with heh. Have to wonder somedays even now with all it's popularity how much we never see outside Japan. Realized the other day I didn't have an avatar, since I removed the old Hoi Hoi San one a while back, the flashing gunfire was a bit distracting. Since I've been doing a bit of scanning it from a lone Konomini sketch I picked up in the spring.

Yah, I like my anime odds n' ends. : )

Glad there were some folks here able to shed some light on it!
As you say, Metheus, there's SO much that we'll never see or hear of- BUT that's usually a good thing, only the best titles tend to get picked up for fansubbing or even an official western release.

That's a beautiful Konomini hanken sketch too!! You manage to pick up many amazing pieces, Metheus :^^:

*heh*, it's a graphic I made up to censor naked female bodies, it wouldn't have been used anywhere else. BUT the image of the old woman was snatched from a website- it was the perfect shot I was looking for to represent a strict authority figure, but in a humerous way ^__^

Yeah, I'd love to see Kakyuusei TV series, Doukyuusei Climax Files, Tenkousei, Doukyuusei 2, Hatsukoi and Tsuki Kagerou in English. I was just thinking this morning what my favorite series was that never even had ONE episode English fansubbed. :(

Heh...I only watched the first two episodes of Konomini. That's another anime I never got back to watching the rest of. She looked familiar, but I couldn't place her. Her lack of orange colored hair helped contribute to my befuddlement. :D
