It is nothing to be sad about. People get dealt different courses in life. The marriage and kids will come later. For now...enjoy being you and having the freedom to buy cels, and go to cons. That is pleasure in itself. What you want will come. Have fun, be you and be young while you can. :D
The highligt of my year is the day after my birthday.....*phew* at least there is 365 more days until I am closer to 30. :P
Ahh too be young again.

I'll be thirty in February. I have never been married, nor do I have any children. I suppose it is different for a man in terms of the expectations placed on us as well as the ones we place on ourselves. However, I have friends my age who have been married and divorced already. My last real relationship ended about nine months ago, and I am always open to the idea of entering a new relationship. But in terms of marriage, either I do it right, or I don't do it at all.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

Can you imagine being married nor do he or she have any children?

The thing to think realize is there is no golden strict path to life. There is nothing wrong with not having been married with children already. It is your life and your choice so don't let others judgements as to what they might think you should be doing bother you.

I have a female friend of ours who just turned 50 who for the 1st time found her soulmate. Some find them early , some never do. As long as you are enjoying your life and doing what you want , that's all that truly matters.

Sorry, but I'm not going to put a feel good message here. You don't like your life then change it. GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Collecting cels and going to cons is fine if you are happy, but you are doing these things and are unhappy. Stop and change. The one thing you can always do in this world is change your situation. If you think of yourself as a loser then you are one.

Think of yourself as a winner and be one!

But do you want all of those things you mentioned? Marriage and kids, etc? Society tells us we should have certain things and we tend to desire them because we're told to, but is that what you really want? If so, you can maybe re-prioritize your life a bit. But don't do anything you don't want to. If you're happy as you are, don't let social expectations make you feel guilty for living life on your own terms.

There's no magic recipe to success and happiness. We're all different. If you really want something, you can make it happen for yourself. *hugs* Cheer up.

Edit: NSP posted my sentiments as well. I was typing as he posted tho, oopise! But it's true. If you want something, make it happen. Go out and get it! :)

Plan your own life.
Then, when it doesn't go quite accordingly, try to at least enjoy the ride.
I've been married fourteen years, have no kids, and no plans to ever have any. :shrug
I also have no career, and no plans to ever really have any. I follow my husband and work wherever I can find it. :shrug
One of my highlights of the year was getting my Ichigo doll. For most folks, that wacked. But hey, it makes me unutterably happy, so there. :P

... what they said...

Now, someone tell ME how to do that ;)

All exceptionally good advice. The best I can offer is my complete and utter empathy, as I'm going through the same sorts of things while facing down the barrel of the "50" gun. (eep! how the hell did that happen?).

Definitely easier said than done. But I'm working on it, and I have to agree with NSP that actually moving and working on it, rather than gnawing on it, is a MUCH better feeling. (just wish I could do so more regularly!)

HUGS, in any event. :ghug:

Interesting. How many hours do you work? Yes, it's rather obvious when you think about it.

It's pretty much a full-time job, Cloud. ;)
