There was, of course, the time where they thought I stole my own account and locked it down- which was really frustrating and embarassing, seeing as I had several people I needed to make timely payments to, and then when they tried to reopen my account, they did something wrong and it no longer would let me send payments, and I spent over a week on the phone with these idiots who just kept saying, "Drrr...I don't get it...why is it doing this?..." and it never got resolved. I just had to create another stupid account.
Anyway, that's another story, but I should have learned from that that things could only get worse from there.
Since I use Paypal to pay for the majority of my cels, I figured it might be a good idea to open a Paypal Buyer Credit account.
Wrong. Wrong.
So let's see...I haven't had the stupid account for very long, and I already have a due Date of Feb 14. No problem. I tried logging in to make the payment before I left on vacation. It wouldn't let me- it said I couldn't make payments online within the first 30 days of my account being opened. So I decided I would try again while on vacation from my friend's computer. It gives me the same message.
So I spend 2 hours getting the run-around from Paypal's crappy customer service phone center, and finally reach someone who says that I have only 2 options- make a phone payment through their automated system, or mail in the payment.
So here is the catch:
If I use the phone service, it is a $15 fee to make a minimum payment of only $10!!!!!!
If I just mail it in, well, of course it won't be received and processed in enough time, so I'll get charged a late fee and probably have my APR go up on the stupid account and then they'll probably report it to the credit bureaus and the credit score I have worked so hard to keep up, will be damaged.
I told the supervisor it was pretty lousy of Paypal to give someone a due date for a payment, and then pretty much leave them with one option only to make a timely payment, and that option costs $15. And I was basically told, "Oh well, so sad, too bad, that's Paypal's policy".
Demanding to speak to higher-ups and/or getting that ridiculous fee overturned got me nowhere. So the only thing I could do was make the stupid telephone payment.

I am still so fuming mad- the way Paypal does and runs things is just infuriating me even more. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. So I think that this payday, I'm just going to pay the balance on my Paypal Buyer Credit in full and then have them shut the account down. I just have this bad feeling that things could get even worse from here.
I don't know if anyone else has one of these accounts- and for all I know, they have had no problems. But if anyone here has been considering opening one of those accounts and haven't already, I hope this is enough of a warning, because it's just not worth it >_<x
