I'm looking forward to seeing the DSA settei! And from the scans you have up at the moment, it looks like you have a really good set.
Yeah, it certainly is taking longer than I thought, but the gallery is looking better than before. I'm even thinking of adding new layout elementsBlaster wrote:Re-scanning everything might take a long time, but it will be well worth it and it's showing that already

Thanksmiz ducky wrote:As much as I like Kite and Mezzo Forte, does anyone else notice now disproportionate the women are compared to the men?
I just have to know if I'm the only one who is bothered by that little detail.
I love your updates Silus!
Especially this one http://silusatrium.rubberslug.com/galle ... mID=236160
Keep them coming!
Yeah. It was a pleasant surprise to receive original backgrounds, since I don't remember that piece of info on the auction's description, so I thought they were copies.Krafty wrote:Goo to see the Polymer cels, Silus. I wondered which one's you obtained; the ones with backgrounds are particularly eye-catching.
Yes, I have all of them. I want to upload a picture of the inside of each book, as I did with the Yellow Star artbook, but that's something I'll have to do laterKrafty wrote:You've added the first Key Animation book, do you have the others? I can't remember what you told me last time because you have so many of the Umetsu books!
Well, unfortunately, the book is kind of small, so you won't take long to see the whole book. But it's a treat, especially since it's probably the closest thing to the "Yasuomi Umetsu sketchbook" I mentioned in one of my blog entries!Krafty wrote:BTW, I won the Medley of Design book recently so I'll be interested to see what that's like. You could put that on your site and save me all the effort and hassle of opening the pages myself; j/k
Thanks! Now that I scanned everything in higher-quality, I'll update the Mezzo DSA regularly. It's quite big and I don't even have the complete one.Blaster wrote:The updated scans of the DSA settei are great Silus.
Thanks!
Yeah, I think it's a good one, but It's not that clean. There's some post processing work I apply to all the images I display on the site, even if sometimes it's just a crop or brigthness/contrast adjustments. For the settei however, there are always some unnecessary dots or lines that I usually remove, before displaying the images.Blaster wrote:I can't get over how clean the DSA settei is Silus. You really got a good set there.
I like the idea of the poster section too
I usually remove all the photocopy spots on my settei too. but even the lines on your DSA set are really clean and crisp.Silus wrote:Yeah, I think it's a good one, but It's not that clean. I did notice that. But I can't really offer any sort of explination as to why they would be edited out. Are there any laws in Japan that prohibit drugs/medication to be shown on readily seen media promo items? Perhaps that's why they were left out?Silus wrote:
As for the poster section, thanks
I'm sure that, since you have the KUJUKU artworks book too, you already noticed the detail I mentioned in the description of the Yellow Star poster. For some reason the Yellow Star pills falling off Fujisawa's hand, didn't make it to the poster.
I have no idea either, but that bit of detail makes sense in the context of the episode. The pills DO give the name to the episode , so they should probably appear in the promo stuff. The pills are also not in the cover of the Yellow Star artbook. They really only appear in Mr Umetsu's artworks book.Blaster wrote:I did notice that. The other option could be that they were added to the artworks book and other pictures, adn the poster used a first-run image. However the position of Fujisawa's hand doesn't really support that thoery. it's got me beat![]()
