I'm so sorry about the fire. It must be very hard to go through something so tragic. Beta is a great place with great people. Glad your here and hang in there.

I think that enough of them are left that they are not lost to the world forever.
Glad to hear some things were left unharmed! Perhaps finding these sketches are a sign of more positive things to come.Kero wrote:Alas, I was wrong. The Escaflowne cel book is quite absent. Urm...they are pieces of art. What if you had a Van Gogh that got ruined. "Just a silly mix of paint." Its the same thing. It is pretty callus of them not to understand...sounds like they have already declared war on you.Kero wrote:my in-laws think that these silly cartoon things aren't worth anything no matter what I tell them. Now that I'm seeing beyond the loss of the cels and re-read the thing... this makes me angry. Law equality is so overdue I find it positively sickening. His insurance is covering the house (it was his job, after all) because it was my in-laws new house and their insurance is making him cover it, but we found out much too late that I am not covered because I am a "friend" instead of a legal spouse and my in-laws think that these silly cartoon things aren't worth anything no matter what I tell them.
