I remember seeing it back when I was in college at one of the anime club showings back in the day. :) It did have a certain ick factor when it came to the incestuous relationship between Ares and Athena. Not that ancient gods didn't have a fair share of incest, but I still can't help find it a little squicky.

Here's the next clue. Probably pretty easy I think.

An "orphen" joins a group of traveling performers.

Nadia , The Secret of Blue Water?

Nope.

Another clue: this group of traveling performers has the same name as a common garden weed.

Now, now

It's not the size of the sword...

It's the skill of its wielder!

Well some could consider Wordsworth covering both clues :hitting:

I don't have anything to say to that.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Ah Ha!

So was it the Katachi, Makoto, and Kotowari, or the allusion to the assumed profession of its not quite fully human exorcist (i.e., Medicine seller) that gave it away? /hmm

Or maybe my current avatar…

No matter, you are correct, Kata! /no1

The hero of “Bake Neko”, the standout part of the trilogy that made up Ayakashi, was such a hit that they gave him his own spinoff series for the Summer of 2007: Mononoke!

In addition to its enigmatic, charismatic lead, and its involving, puzzle/mystery solving episodes, it boasts what is surely one of the most unique art designs in modern anime. Described by some online reviews as being evocative of Klimt, I found it to be even more like a fantastical melding of Nishiki-e and Pop Art à la Peter Max. :D

Still not licensed, though… :(
