As you know Lain, I sympathise with everything that happened.

Something similar actually happened to me once on another forum and to do with another hobby of mine. But I was the enquirer after the first buyer already paid for the item. I said I would gladly offer that seller 4X the amount they listed and sold their item for but they turned down the money to save their good name and integrity. They could have easily refunded the first buyer's payment but chose to stick to what they thought was right. And they really needed the money for a house payment, too. I'm lucky with this item in that it's not one of a kind; just rare. So next time, because so many people expressed interest, someone's likely to Ebay one of these or take offers instead of just ask for the amount they originally paid.

We can only hope that the seller of the cels in question learns from what happened and from now on honours the first buyer on their cels. At least they got the shipping cels out to people part right lol. ;)

Yeah I here ya. I did that with another seller once and was hoping the other buyer would back out. Of course they didn't... and she was nice and of course didn't get swayed by me offering more money. then again, I should have offered on it while it was in her gallery. 8) Its all good though. there are other kinda sequence mates out there for that cel so I will get one... someday. LOL She did the right thing and after the fact I could see how accepting that offer would have created problems. Thus why I was so surprised this seller even considered such a practice knowing that there may be a backlash. She did not want to correct the situation and was dead set on selling the cel to the other person which I would not be surprised if she had that motive from the beginning. Thus why it took her so long to respond to my e-mail versus other people who received replies hours before mine.

I think ebay would have been the better choice. I would still be upset though that they did not honor the price stated on the website but it would have been more fair. Maybe next time they will think about this. Image

....lol

You and me Nene... one day... we will meet again on the battlefield that they call ebay. One of us will walk away with victory... Image I hope its me. LOL ...even though.... that has rarely been in the case in the past. Image
(that is if someone posts some damn good Chidori cels. Cough em up people! hahaha jkjk)

Woa.. I hadnt seen this thread since I had bumped it to say
I sent a pm. :hurt:
Quite the racket since last I saw it.

:roll

Almost every cel price -if not all- on the website
are fair and some even lower than we've seen
at dealer sites and yhj.
Considering there are two folks selling their goods
I wouldnt be surprised if some cross-email
might have occurred. But to prematurely cry "fraud"
is a bit much IMHO. :?

I had the pleasure of buying from one of the gals
you mentioned.
Absolutely smooth and perfect communication
and transaction thru and thru.
I even got the cels just 2 days after my payment
arrived. O_O
Thats Mandarake-fast! lol! :yay

I'm sorry you didn't have the same experience.

So to Kristen -- THANK YOU! I love the cels!
/lv
And to the others who may still be left pondering--
they are very serious, polite sellers!

I am happy to hear that you received the goods you have ordered. I was asked by another seller about this thread because they were worried about a cel that had just recently ordered. I told them that the couple of collectors that i have spoken with thus far have indeed received the items that they have paid for. I do not spread false rumors and have been honset whenever people have asked me about this situation.

BTW, when i wrote my initial complaint, I did not once mention fraud or that they were trying to scam me. I was upset about how they were running a supposed "sales page". Read a few posts later, and yes I mentioned all of the other factors that made me paranoid which is another reason a person would sale first come, first serve. Next time they should put on there "or best offer" or a disclaimer saying "hey, I dont want a bidding war but I will do it if I have to". You don't put up a sales page and turn it into a for offer period. Questions start being asked and people start talking.

Does that still change my opinion about this seller? No. LOL I am glad they are at least shipping out cels fast and not forcing all of their buyers to pay for paypal fees. I would do whatever it takes to rebuild my rep with potential buyers as well after the dick move they made last weekend. At least they are not completely ignorant on how to run a sales page. Just glad no one else is having problems and hopefully they have changed their ways.

recieved cel

Post by Starfighter »

Hello ,

I have been out of collecting for a while . I recently bought this aweswome hinoto cel from groupie cels. The person I delt with was julia she was just really nice and her e-mails were very fast. She answered my questions and sent images of the sketch and cel for me to look at before I paid for the cel . The cel arrived today in awesome condition . This seller has been nothing but great. I would consider doing business with her again in the future.

Well this is just the facts of transaction .

Julia if your reading this thank you for the awesome cel , she will be well taken care of .

Awesome!! Image
I told you last night that you had nothing to worry about in terms of it getting to you. Especially from the specific person you bought from. ^_^ Now... if only you would make your gallery public again. Image haha.

My package arrived yesterday and everything was in order. :D

I had a great transaction and would recommend buying something that interests you without worrying about these sellers /no1

Image Glad they are shipping their stuff(even though this is expected whenever you buy something? Image). Hopefully they have learned their lesson and set proper expectations on how they are running things in the future. Image
